Raised in Canmore and having traveled around the world Yuka has a true love and appreciation for people and the Rockies. Outside of her practice she loves to be active! She especially enjoys the outdoors and being in the mountains.

Her passion is in the martial arts which she has studied since 1995. The feeling of not being able to participate in training due to injuries, other health concerns, or just not feeling ‘right’ is extremely disappointing and has made her very mindful of her own health. Also having lived an active and busy lifestyle balancing work, study, and play she understands the importance of preventing disease, maintaining health, and treating illnesses in order to be able to continue to do and enjoy our favourite activities.

Yuka has a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry and psychology. She graduated from the four year Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine (DTCM) program in Calgary at the Canadian Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine. A recent three month internship to China at a TCM hospital has made her even more excited about her profession, wanting to share the new knowledge, skills, and experiences to help you on your journey to optimal health.
